The show has a clear angle, with James and Redick delving deep into the Xs and Os of the game for extended periods.
This is not a podcast for casuals. The teaser makes that much clear. Instead, it’s aimed specifically at those who live and breathe the game, right down to its finest details.

“I’m really proud of what we’ve done to innovate in sports media,” James said in a statement to The Athletic. “… When I do a project, the only thing I think about is whether me and my friends would watch it. That is definitely the case with ‘Mind the Game.’ Everything doesn’t need to be designed for internet culture and clicks.”
It’s expected to be a weekly show that runs between 45 minutes and an hour per episode, according to The Athletic. “Mind the Game” currently has no branded partners, with James and Redick wanting their product to be as pure as possible.
