Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James shared his emotional state following his team’s first-round playoff exit at the hands of the Denver Nuggets.

“Sh*t, where I am emotionally right now? I don’t know to be honest. I have no idea where I am emotionally right,” James told JJ Redick on the Mind The Game podcast.

James reflected on the series, noting how the Lakers were close to securing victories on several occasions, such as Game 2 and Game 5 when Jamal Murray hit game-winning shots.

“F*ck, we had so many opportunities man… I believe we made too many errors in some of the games… The better team won, for sure. Give credit where credit is due,” the four-time NBA champion admitted.

Redick agreed, stating that he believed the Nuggets were the superior team four months ago and still holds that opinion.

After the disappointing end to their season, the Lakers have begun to make changes, including parting ways with head coach Darvin Ham and the entire coaching staff.

James is facing a crucial offseason decision as he holds a player option in his contract for the upcoming season. It is expected that he will opt out and sign a new maximum contract with the Lakers, as reports suggest.
