LeBron James Responds to Shaq Saying Players Don’t Fear Him

LeBron James Responds to Shaq Saying Players Don’t Fear Him

LeBron James has responded to Shaquille O’Neal saying players don’t fear him like they did with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

Shaq made the comments on “The Big Podcast with Shaq” last week.

“I’ve heard players say, including myself, ”I feared Mike [Michael Jordan],’” O’Neal said at the time. “I’ve heard players in your generation say they feared Kobe… I’ve never really heard any player say they feared LeBron.’”

James must have caught wind of this because he posted this on his Instagram story not all that long afterwards:

LeBron James

The timing of LeBron’s post is such that it surely cannot be a coincidence.

LeBron and Shaq’s past exchanges have been good-natured banter and this is likely something similar.

Like with most NBA stars, there has always been plenty of mutual respect between these two. It’s also worth noting that LeBron and Shaq were teammates back in 2010 when they played for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Knowing what Shaq can be like, he may refuse to have the last word on this one (even if it is just a bit of banter), so stay tuned for a response from the big fella.
