Leeds United Keeping an Eye on Canada Attacker Liam Millar
Leeds United are monitoring Basel attacker Liam Millar of Canada during the Copa America.
Both Leeds United and Sheffield United are interested in Millar during the summer transfer window.
Millar, a former Liverpool player, spent last season on loan at Preston North End in the Championship from Basel.
The Canada international is expected to make a permanent return to England this summer.
Millar contributed five goals and five assists for Preston North End last season, finishing 10th in the Championship standings.
Leeds may have an advantage in signing Millar, as he is eager to return to England after making 96 appearances for Basel since 2021.
Following their defeat in the play-off final against Southampton, Leeds United missed out on promotion to the Premier League and are expected to strengthen their squad.
Millar Could Replace Crysencio at Leeds United
It is known that Millar’s contract, which is close to expiry, includes a release clause.
Millar established himself as a key player in Ryan Lowe’s squad last season, earning praise for his performances.
With his ability to play as a center-forward and left winger, the 24-year-old could be a valuable addition if Crysencio Summerville departs Elland Road.
