Liverpool Optimistic About Securing Manchester United Target Milos Kerkez – Latest Updates from Man United News | The Peoples Person

Liverpool Optimistic About Securing Manchester United Target Milos Kerkez - Latest Updates from Man United News | The Peoples Person

Liverpool are reportedly confident of signing Milos Kerkez ahead of Manchester United.

Ruben Amorim seemingly made strengthening United’s flanks his biggest priority in his early days at the helm at Old Trafford. Apart from providing defensive solidity, the wing-backs are key to unlocking the side’s attack in Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation.

As such, United spent a fee in the region of £25 million to acquire the services of Patrick Dorgu from Leece. The arrival of Dorgu, however, has only improved the Red Devils’ right flank. With Luke Shaw still yet to return to full fitness, United’s options on the left remain underwhelming.

According to The Sun, United are keen on signing Kerkez from Bournemouth.

The Cherries’ left-back has emerged as one of the most exciting players in that area since his move to the Premier League from AZ Alkmaar in a £14m deal.

The 21-year-old is aggressive in his defensive actions and likes to consistently link up in the final third, boasting an eight-goal involvement across all competitions this season.

His consistent performances have led to a strong battle for his signature, with Bournemouth prepared to “do business if the price is right.”

It is claimed that Liverpool believe they have won the race for the £50m-rated Hungarian.

Kerkez, who is tied to Bournemouth until 2028, allegedly favours a move to Liverpool, where he would get the opportunity to play alongside fellow countryman Dominik Szoboszlai.

With Kerkez’s move to Anfield “all but nailed down,” United could be forced to look elsewhere to find Amorim his left wing-back.

Interestingly, the Red Devils might not need to jump into the transfer market to ease Amorim’s concerns.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming the very talented Harry Amass is expected to make his breakthrough under the United head coach. Further, attacking left-back Diego Leon is also set to join the Mancunians from Cerro Porteno.
