Liverpool is firmly in the mix to acquire Jeremy Jacquet, with transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano stating that the competition for the French defender has reached its critical juncture.
Despite Chelsea being seen as the leading candidate for some time, Liverpool has started to pose a significant challenge with talks escalating just a day before the transfer window closes.

Although Bayern Munich was previously mentioned as a potential suitor, Romano indicates that the German team is now “unlikely” to follow through, which opens the door for an English transfer.
