Keyrol Figueroa has secured his first professional contract with Liverpool after impressing with the club’s youth teams.
At just 17 years old, Figueroa officially joined the Reds’ first team on Tuesday, marking a significant milestone in his career progression. He originally started with Liverpool’s Under-14 squad and has steadily climbed the ranks ever since.
During the 2021-22 season, Figueroa participated in the U-18 Premier League, showcasing his talent with seven goals and five assists across 23 appearances. He has also been involved in competitions like the FA Youth Cup and the UEFA Youth League with Liverpool.
As the son of former Honduran international Maynor, Keyrol has represented the U.S. Under-17 men’s national team, making a total of 14 appearances. His standout performance came during the 2023 CONCACAF U-17 Championship, where he netted seven goals to help propel the team to the tournament final.
Further solidifying his potential, Figueroa played in all of the U-17 team’s matches at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, scoring a crucial goal in a 2-1 victory over Burkina Faso.
Liverpool’s U-18 side is set to play their final match of the season against Derby County this Saturday.
