Liverpool’s Damien Delaney anticipates a two-year contract offer for Mo Salah

According to Damien Delaney, discussions are underway for Mo Salah to extend his contract with Liverpool beyond the current expiration date of summer 2025. Delaney believes that the club may offer a two-year deal to the star winger given his exceptional performance.

Delaney stated on Virgin Media Sport, “But there has to be a compromise with his age, the amount of money he’s earning, the length of his contract. Because a fall-off at that age can be quite severe, come very quickly. He’s 32 now – he might get another year, 18 months, two years out of him.

Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Mo Salah over prolonging his contract, with the player already showcasing impressive form in the current season.

Amid speculations of Salah’s decline, the 32-year-old has proven his critics wrong by delivering outstanding performances for Liverpool.

Reports suggest that contract negotiations are also underway for Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool. It remains to be seen whether all three players will sign new contracts.

While Liverpool’s captain is keen on extending his stay, uncertainties loom over Alexander-Arnold’s future, with Real Madrid reportedly monitoring the situation. Additionally, there are concerns about Salah potentially receiving lucrative offers from other clubs.

Although Liverpool has time to secure the futures of these key players, the urgency to finalize deals is evident.
