Lopetegui eager to dive into the action

Lopetegui can't wait to get stuck in

Julen Lopetegui Set to Replace David Moyes as West Ham Manager

It has recently been announced that David Moyes will be leaving West Ham at the end of the season, with Julen Lopetegui reportedly lined up as his replacement.

Although there has been no official confirmation yet, all signs point to Lopetegui taking over from the departing Scot.

While opinions among the West Ham fans remain divided, many seem to be skeptical due to Lopetegui’s disappointing spell at Wolves in the past.

Lopetegui Eager to Take Charge at West Ham

Having been out of the game for some time, Lopetegui is ready to make a comeback and prove his worth to those who doubt his abilities.

Sky Sports journalist, Adam Bate, has highlighted the enthusiasm Lopetegui may feel about coaching certain players.

Julen Lopetegui is set to become West Ham’s new manager

In his Sky Sports column, Bate wrote, ‘West Ham are getting much more than a former Wolves manager here. This is a man who was unbeaten in his two years as Spain manager, a record achieved despite having to play away games against top European teams like England, Italy, Germany, France and Belgium.’

He added, ‘His preferred style of play involves a higher defensive line in a 4-3-3 formation with full-backs providing width and creative players operating in the spaces inside. There is already excitement at the prospect of working with Mohammed Kudus and others.’

Once Lopetegui’s appointment is confirmed, it will be interesting to see the changes he makes to the squad, the new signings he brings in, and the style of football he implements.

One of the criticisms of David Moyes’ tenure at West Ham has been his defensive approach, which has not utilized the talents of players like Mo Kudus effectively.

If Lopetegui can restore the attacking ethos of the club, fans at the London Stadium will surely get behind him, although patience will be needed as the team adapts to his methods.
