The Los Angeles Rams have had a bit of a revolving door at running back since Todd Gurley was out there wreaking havoc.

Last year, it was Kyren Williams’ turn to prove his worth and prove it he did.

He finished the campaign with the third-most rushing yards (1,144), and that came on the heels of logging just 215 yards on 44 touches in his rookie season.

Now, the former fifth-round pick is looking forward to building from that momentum and being even better in his third campaign as a pro.

In an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, he stated that the game had “1,000 percent” slowed down for him in his second campaign, adding that things finally clicked for him in Week 6 vs. the Arizona Cardinals when he ran for 158 yards and a score.

Now, it’s all about keeping the production coming and getting even better numbers in 2024 (via ProFootballTalk):

“I knew that I just had to work. There wasn’t really anything else for me to do. I had a point to prove and that was only going to get proven by the work I put in,” Williams said.

The Rams are a bit of a question mark entering the season.

Matthew Stafford is still one of the best quarterbacks in the game, and their duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua should be able to put up some big numbers again in 2024, opening up plenty of running lanes for Williams to do his thing.

This team wasn’t expected to be that good last season, yet Sean McVay had them close to reaching the NFC Divisional Round, and it wouldn’t be wise to count them out next year, even if they’re not as stacked as they used to be a couple of years ago.
