Luka had a pain-killing injection before the game to “numb the area of his thoracic contusion”, ESPN‘s Tim MacMahon revealed.

He has been listed as probable for Game 3 of the NBA Finals and didn’t go into details about his medical treatments, but assured the media he’s okay.

“First, I feel good. I don’t want to get into any more details, but I feel good,” Doncic said.

McMahon says it’s expected that Doncic will get get another injection before Wednesday’s Game 3.

KRISTAPS PORZINGIS

Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis has suffered a “rare injury” to his left leg and is officially listed as questionable for Game 3 of the Finals.

Boston announced Tuesday that Porzingis has a torn medial retinaculum allowing dislocation of the posterior tibialis tendon in his left leg.

“It’s kind of a random situation,” Porzingis said. “I felt something, and now I have to deal with it.

“As we said, yeah, it’s going to be day-to-day, and I’ll see how I am tomorrow, and obviously I’m going to do everything I can to be out there tomorrow, and we’ll see.”

Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla said any decision on whether Porzingis will play will be determined by the team’s medical staff.

“Yeah, I mean, listen, he’s doing anything and everything he can to be ready for the game tomorrow,” Mazzulla said. “It’s a serious injury. At the end of the day, our team and the medical team is not going to put him in any bad situations.

“We’ve taken the decision to play out of his hands. … He’s going to do everything he can to play. We’re going to leave it up to our medical team. That’s really it.”
