Luka Doncic brushes off poor shooting in Game 1 loss to Thunder: “Winning is all that matters”

Luka Doncic on his poor shooting in Game 1 vs. Thunder: "Who cares, we lost"

The Dallas Mavericks faced a tough defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals.

While Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s brilliance shone through with 29 points for OKC, Luka Doncic struggled, scoring 19 points on 6-for-19 shooting.

In a candid post-game interview, Doncic brushed off his poor shooting, emphasizing the importance of moving forward.

“Who cares, we lost, man. We just gotta move onto the next one,” the Slovenian superstar remarked.

Acknowledging the need for improvement, Doncic expressed confidence in his team’s ability to bounce back.

“We’re known for Game 1 struggling, but we got to focus,” Doncic stated.

Facing a formidable opponent in the first-seed Thunder, Doncic emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and playing quality basketball.

“They’re a great team, great defensive team, great offensive team. So it’s not going to be easy at all,” Doncic acknowledged. “We got to play very good basketball and focused basketball 48 minutes.”
