Malik Monk Expresses Desire to Remain with Sacramento Kings

Malik Monk Would Like To Stay With Kings

According to recent reports, Malik Monk has expressed his desire to continue playing for the Sacramento Kings. In return, the Kings are looking to keep Monk on their roster. However, they may face competition from other teams who could potentially offer Monk more lucrative deals in free agency.

Due to salary cap constraints, Sacramento can only re-sign Monk using his Early Bird rights, as they are expected to exceed the cap this offseason. This means that the Kings can present Monk with a contract worth up to $78 million over four years.

Monk, known for his scoring, shooting, and playmaking abilities, is highly sought after as a free agent this summer. Teams with cap space may be able to outbid Sacramento’s offer to Monk due to his valuable skill set.

Despite the potential for higher earnings elsewhere, Monk has expressed his desire to stay with the Kings. He highlighted that while money is important, finding the right fit is his priority this offseason. Monk is optimistic that the situation will unfold favorably for all parties involved.
