Aleksandar Stankovic, a midfielder for Club Brugge, has generated buzz regarding a potential transfer to the Premier League.

Journalist Matteo Moretto reports that both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have been monitoring Stankovic’s performances recently. It remains uncertain if either club will pursue a signing soon.

Manchester United and Tottenham Assess Stankovic

Moretto stated on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel: “Numerous English clubs have attended his matches in person, including Tottenham and Manchester United.”

“Meanwhile, Inter Milan is also keeping an eye on Stankovic’s progress, remaining composed as they hold options to bring him back either for €23 million in the summer of 2026 or €25 million in July 2027. Essentially, the decision is largely up to Inter.”

Stankovic joined Club Brugge after departing from Inter Milan and has made a significant impact there. Inter Milan is closely following his development, with the rights to reacquire him at predetermined prices, giving them leverage in the transfer scenario.

The Suitability of Stankovic for Both Clubs

Whether Manchester United or Tottenham will make a formal offer remains to be seen. Stankovic’s ability to play both as a defensive midfielder and central defender adds to his appeal. With both clubs in need of improvements in their defensive midfield areas, acquiring the 20-year-old could represent a strategic long-term investment.

Playing in the Premier League could be enticing for the young midfielder, given the league’s global prominence and extensive fan engagement.

Joining either of these prominent clubs would be a significant advancement in his career. For Manchester United, finding a successor to Casemiro is essential, while Tottenham will likely need to fill the gap left by Yves Bissouma, who may transfer this summer.
