Man United manager Erik ten Hag now among favorites for first Premier League sacking with odds cut

Odds SLASHED on Man United manager Erik ten Hag to be first Premier League sacking

Is Erik ten Hag already in trouble at Manchester United after two consecutive Premier League defeats to Brighton and Liverpool?

Manchester United notably searched for a new manager during the summer before eventually deciding to stick with Ten Hag, even if the Dutch tactician hasn’t had the most convincing start at Old Trafford.

It seems Ten Hag’s poor start to the new season has already convinced some betting markets that he won’t be at the club much longer, with Ladbrokes quickly slashing their odds on him being the first Premier League manager to lose his job this season.

Ten Hag was 7/1 to be the first manager sacked in the 2024/25 campaign before the 3-0 defeat at home to Liverpool, but he’s now down to just 2/1.

This means the former Ajax boss is ahead of Everton’s Sean Dyche and Leicester City’s Steve Cooper in the race for the next manager to be sacked…

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “The critics are coming for Erik ten Hag in their droves and after yesterday’s humiliating defeat at home to Liverpool, the Dutch boss went straight to the top of the sack race betting.”

Next Premier League Manager to Leave

2/1 Erik ten Hag, 3/1 Sean Dyche, 8/1 Enzo Maresca, 10/1 Steve Cooper, 12/1 other managers
