Manchester United know they’re not going to be able to recoup anywhere near what they paid for Donny van de Beek.
Joining the Red Devils from Ajax in 2020 in a deal worth £34.6 million (Sky Sports), van de Beek, 26, was expected to become one of the Premier League’s most exciting playmakers. Things have not turned out the way the Dutchman would have hoped though.
Failing to become part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans and even falling out of favour with Erik ten Hag; a manager he already knew from his days at Ajax, van de Beek has been forced to accept a series of loan moves including his latest to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Will Man United sell Donny van de Beek?
Signing for the Die Adler in January, United’s number 25 will spend the remainder of the season in the Bundesliga, and if he impresses, will have the chance to join permanently for just £9.4 million.

And according to a recent report from Football Insider, should Frankfurt express an interest in keeping van de Beek beyond this season, United will jump at the chance of offloading him, even if it does mean taking a massive financial hit worth a whopping £25 million.
Although van de Beek has yet to open his account for Frankfurt, he has featured in five matches, four of which have been league starts.
