Manchester City midfielder Rodri determined to achieve history this season

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has issued a warning to Liverpool and Arsenal as the Premier League title race intensifies.

His team could temporarily overtake Liverpool in the table if they defeat Everton in Saturday’s 12:30pm kickoff. Meanwhile, Liverpool, heavy favourites, will face Burnley at 3pm at Anfield.

With the two clubs once again vying for the title, Rodri has expressed his team’s ambitions for the season following their historic treble victory last season. He stated that their aim is not only to win their fourth consecutive title but also to repeat the treble.

The Spanish midfielder recently expressed, via the Liverpool Echo: “We can achieve history this year in the way we can achieve four in a row. The players really feel that they want to do something that no-one has ever done before.

“We know how tough it is to win (the treble). But we can do it again. We are alive in all of the competitions.”

Rodri, a pivotal player for City, believes that despite their recent success, the team can still improve. He attributes their achievements to manager Pep Guardiola, citing him as the driving force behind their success and an inspiration for younger players.

The Citizens looked some way off the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool not that long ago, but they’ve turned up the gears and now appear arguably the strongest out of the teams mentioned.
