Manchester United are interested in signing 21-year-old striker Maximilian Beier from Hoffenheim, according to Sport Bild (via Sport Witness).
United have made initial inquiries about the terms of a potential transfer for the young talent, who is also being sought after by Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Brentford, and Bayer Leverkusen.
The Red Devils have taken the first step by asking about Beier’s release clause, which is currently set at €32.5 million.
Although the clause decreases by €2.5 million each year, the current price remains significant for all interested clubs.
Beier’s impressive performance last season, scoring 16 goals and providing three assists in 35 matches, has caught the attention of various clubs looking to strengthen their attacking options.
Known for his versatility as a right-footed attacker who can use his left foot effectively, Beier excels in creating and finishing chances with exceptional dribbling and spatial awareness.
Despite needing improvement in off-ball pressing and aerial proficiency, Beier’s ability to play across the front line and deliver with both feet makes him a valuable asset.
