Manchester United icon Bryan Robson suggests Erik ten Hag should consider fielding a more consistent lineup for improved results – Latest Man United Updates and Transfer Rumors

Manchester United legend Bryan Robson believes Erik ten Hag would benefit from picking a more settled side - Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United legend Bryan Robson has expressed his desire to see Erik ten Hag field a more consistent side. The Red Devils have had a challenging start to the season, currently sitting in 14th place with only eight points from seven games. They have managed to score just five goals in the league matches and have drawn their first two Europa League fixtures.

Under pressure entering the October international break, Ten Hag made significant changes against Aston Villa, bringing in Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire in place of the struggling duo of Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez.

Speaking on The Athletic’s Talk of the Devils Podcast, former United captain Bryan Robson indicated that he believes one of the major problems at the club currently is the lack of consistency.

Robson reflected on the season so far, mentioning that United were unlucky not to win against Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace, but also acknowledged poor performances against Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. He emphasized the need for a settled side to improve team cohesion and confidence.

Robson emphasized the importance of continuity in the team selection to build understanding and belief among the players. He suggested that a consistent lineup for several weeks could lead to improved results and greater unity within the squad.

Looking ahead, Robson highlighted the long and challenging nature of the season but remained optimistic that United can turn things around with improved performances and results in the near future.

Robson’s idea of maintaining a stable lineup for midweek and weekend fixtures could provide the necessary balance of rotation and consistency to address the issues that have plagued Ten Hag’s team.
