Manchester United makes €25 million offer for Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu – Latest on Man United’s Transfer Activity

Manchester United are keeping a keen eye on left back Ferdi Kadioglu - Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United have reportedly lodged a €25m offer for Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu.

The left-back position is believed to be an area of the pitch Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are keen on strengthening in the current transfer window.

During the 2023/24 season, Luke Shaw missed a huge part of the campaign due to multiple injuries. Combine this with the fact that Tyrell Malacia didn’t play even a single minute of competitive action due to a physical setback sustained during pre-season and it makes sense why United are on the hunt for left-back reinforcements.

One of the options mentioned to be on United’s radar is Kadioglu, who was one of Turkey’s standout stars during Euro 2024 before they were eliminated by the Netherlands in the quarter-final stage of the competition.

A previous report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United were “seriously interested” in the Fenerbahce star.

It was stated that the Red Devils were planning to hold talks with his representatives in the coming days to discuss the possibility of getting a deal for him over the line.

A subsequent report explained that United were in pole position for the 24-year-old, who is also on the radar of outfits like Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Wolves and another unnamed English club.

New Fener boss Jose Mourinho wants to keep Kadioglu in Turkey and any proposal to sell him this summer is expected to be strongly opposed by the Portuguese.

However, it seems that United are intent on pressing ahead in their pursuit of Kadioglu if fresh information revealed by Sabah is anything to go by.

According to the Turkish newspaper, United have offered €25m (£21m) for the marauding full-back.

United’s offer is short of Fener’s €35m valuation of the player, whose price “doubled” after his heroics at Euro 2024.

It’s understood that Ten Hag “definitely wants to see” Kadioglu in his squad ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 term and if United will not raise their bid, then it’s possible that a swap deal could be entertained.

Sabah add that the 20-time English champions may use stars like Jadon Sancho, Malacia and even Shaw as potential makeweights in a deal to lure Kadioglu to Old Trafford.

Other left-backs that have been tipped to join United include Sergio Reguilon, Ben Chilwell and Antonee Robinson.
