Manchester United Officially Acquire Norwegian Striker Elisabeth Terland from Brighton and Hove Albion – Latest Transfer Update from Old Trafford

Man United "hopeful" of sealing deal for Brighton and Hove Albion talisman Elisabeth Terland - Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United have officially confirmed the signing of forward Elisabeth Terland from Brighton and Hove Albion.

A report covered by The Peoples Person late last month relayed that United were hopeful of sealing a deal for Terland, who parted ways with the Seagulls following the expiry of her contract.

She was Brighton’s top scorer last season, finding the back of the net 15 times in 28 appearances across all competitions, including netting the opener in a 2-2 draw against United in the Women’s Super League.

In total, Terland made 39 appearances and scored 20 goals across two seasons in the WSL for her former side.

Internationally, she made her debut for Norway in 2021 and has since amassed 32 caps while scoring nine goals in the process,

Reacting to her transfer to United, Terland said, “I’m so honoured to sign for Manchester United and cannot wait to join up with the team.”

“Having experienced their excellent fans from the opposing side, I’m really looking forward to having them in my corner this season.”

United women’s team boss Marc Skinner remarked, “Elisabeth is a young player who will bring a fresh dynamic and energy to our team.”

“We are delighted she has chosen to become part of our Manchester United family and look forward to integrating her into our playing squad.”

It’s important to note that Terland put pen to paper on a contract running until the end of the 2025/26 season.

There is an option to extend her stay with the club by an additional 12 months.

Terland is the third arrival at United following the signings of Dutch defender Dominique Janssen and forward Melvine Malard.
