Manchester United Officially Announce 2024/25 Premier League Squad with Sekou Kone’s Inclusion – Latest Man United News and Updates

Manchester United have confirmed their 2024/25 Premier League squad list, with new signing Sekou Kone as one of the surprise inclusions.

United brought in Kone in the summer from Guidars FC.

It’s understood that the Red Devils fended off competition from multiple other clubs to land the highly-rated Mali youth international.

Kone drew attention to himself after impressing at last year’s under-17s FIFA World Cup which saw Mali beat Argentina to claim a third-place finish in the tournament.

The midfielder started his career with the JMG academy in Bamako, Mail, following in the footsteps of Tottenham Hotspur star Yves Bissouma.

A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the young midfielder will be fast-tracked into the United first team and now, the club have named him in their Premier League squad.

Kone is set to start in the Under-18s, but given his immense potential and exceptional talent, there is a plan for him to advance to the senior level if he performs well.

United relayed via their official website, “Manchester United have submitted our official squad list to the Premier League.”

“The paperwork was required following the completion of the transfer window and in advance of the return to domestic action, with Erik ten Hag’s men taking on Southampton at St Mary’s on Saturday.”

In addition to Kone, United’s other summer signings – Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt and Manuel Ugarte -also feature on the list.

The list is divided into two sections. That is, players aged over 21 and those below that same age.

Some of the other youngsters on the list are Harry Amass, Daniel Armer, James Bailey, Zach Baumann, Gabriele Biancheri, Toby Collyer, Ruben Curley, Jacob Devaney, Ethan Ennis, Jayce Fitzgerald, Tyler Fletcher, Jack Fletcher, Tyler Fredricson, Dan Gore, Hubert Graczyk, Fred Heath, Amir Ibragimov, Louis Jackson, Sekou Kaba, Jaydan Kamason and Jack Kingdon.

United vs. Southampton kicks off at 12:30 BST.
