Manchester United reverses decision on season ticket renewal policy following fan input – Manchester United News and Transfer Updates

Manchester United agree to scrap changes to season ticket renewal policy after discussion with fans - Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United has announced changes to the season ticket renewal requirements at Old Trafford. Previously, fans had to attend 14 out of 19 home league games, but the new policy required attendance at 17 out of 19 games for renewal.

Concerns were raised by fans regarding the increased attendance stipulation, leading to discussions between the club and the Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST). As a result, the club has agreed to lower the requirement to attend 15 matches for the next season.

MUST also confirmed that any further increases in attendance requirements will be carefully analyzed with input from the Fans Forum. The minimum usage will not exceed one additional game per season, with a cap at a maximum of 17 games.

This decision is a significant victory for match-going fans who often feel overlooked when it comes to policy changes. Manchester United has three remaining home games this season against Burnley, Newcastle, and Arsenal, with their position in the Premier League crucial for European qualification.
