Manchester United sets sights on RB Salzburg’s rising star Adam Daghim – Transfer Update from Old Trafford

Adam Daghim is the latest RB Salzburg talent on Manchester United's radar - Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United created chance after chance but could not get past Dean Henderson in the Crystal Palace goal on Saturday and ultimately they had to return home with only a point to show for their efforts.

Alejandro Garnacho spurned quite a few presentable chances while Bruno Fernandes probably had one of his weakest games in a red shirt in recent memory.

Despite improving on a few counts as compared to last season, the Red Devils have still struggled to score despite their 10 goals in the previous two games.

The 20-time English league champions have missed the most big chances in the league thus far and Erik ten Hag could be made to rue this missed opportunity in the weeks to come.

Daghim being eyed

While most of the wingers are in good form, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding Antony’s future with INEOS keen to move him on despite his manager’s backing.

And as per Tipsbladet, the Old Trafford side are among a handful of European bigwigs keeping a close watch on RB Salzburg’s highly-rated forward Adam Daghim.

He excels on the right wing but can also play up front and has two goals for the senior team, all at the tender age of 18 and a transfer race is developing for his services.

Understandably, RB Leipzig are one of the names mentioned in the report while Borussia Dortmund are also keeping a tab on proceedings.

“Adam Daghim scored a pearl of a goal in the second leg against Dynamo Kiev. Add to that the fact that he is only 18 years old, and then you have the ingredients for a player that the world’s top clubs are keeping an eye on.

“Quite naturally, big brother RB Leipzig is in the picture, just as Dortmund is too. Manchester United are also monitoring the Dane as a future transfer target.”

Multiple RB Salzburg talents attracting interest

The Denmark U19 international has started all but one league game this term and the future certainly looks bright for the forward whose current contract is valid until 2028.

Salzburg coach Pep Lijnders has already said that the versatile forward has “great potential”and “has ability, is quick, is very committed and has a big heart.” Great words indeed for the player so young.

He has a market value of €2 million according to Transfermarkt and Salzburg are set for a substantial windfall should the player keep progressing.

Recently, the Old Trafford side had also been mentioned as keeping a tab on a couple of his teammates — Samson Baidoo and Oscar Gloukh with Christopher Vivell’s connections with the RB group set to come in handy for INEOS.
