Manchester United target Roony Bardghji sidelined for 9-12 months due to significant knee injury – Latest Man United News and Transfer Updates

Roony Bardghji: Manchester United target ruled out for 9-12 months with serious knee injury - Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United’s potential move for FC Copenhagen sensation Roony Bardghji has suffered a major setback with the teenager now ruled out of action for the next nine to 12 months with a serious knee injury.

Copenhagen confirmed that Bardghji sustained the injury in training ahead of the club’s play-off round game against Silkeborg this weekend.

He has been heavily linked to United since he scored a last-gasp winner against them in the UEFA Champions League group stage back in November

A previous report covered by The Peoples Person revealed that United had been sending scouts to almost every Copenhagen game to watch Bardghji in action.

Bardghji himself opened the door to a possible transfer to a bigger club as he insisted he would be keen on a switch in search of pastures anew away from Denmark.

However, the prospect of Bardghji joining United in the summer now certainly seems out of the question considering the injury he has sustained.

Copenhagen sporting director Peter Christiansen said about the player’s issue, “We all feel for Roony, and everyone in and around the club will do everything we can to help him back on the pitch again.”

“Right now he needs to take it easy to process this message, but we all know him as a dedicated and deeply serious footballer who we know will come back even stronger.”

Copenhagen head coach Jacob Neestrup also remarked, “Right now our focus is to help Roony and being good leaders and team-mates so he can get all the support he needs.”

“He is in the best hands with our medical staff, and we know that he will work hard with his rehabilitation and display his great talent when he is ready again.”

Bardghji has been in fine form this season for Copenhagen. The left-footed winger has registered seven goals in 23 Superliga appearances.

Across all competitions, the Sweden Under-21 international has plundered 10 goals.
