Manchester United midfield target Dani Olmo is still available for a fee in and around his release clause despite it having expired recently.
Erik ten Hag’s side have had an exciting start to the transfer window with the captures of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro.
United have now turned their attentions to bolstering the midfield with Manuel Ugarte reportedly close to joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Red Devils have also been linked to more attack-minded midfielders such as Xavi Simons.
Another attacking midfield profile who has been linked continuously to a move to Manchester is Spain’s Euro 2024 star, Dani Olmo.
It looked like United had missed the boat for Olmo after his €60 million release clause expired yesterday. However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, “Olmo will be allowed to leave by RB Leipzig even in the next weeks with proposals in the region of €60m, same as clause expired.”
“His agents have spoken to Barça, Bayern (if Doué-Simons options collapse), Premier League clubs (no talks with City so far).”

The Catalan was in wonderful form as Spain lifted Euro 2024 and he finished as joint top goalscorer in the tournament alongside a plethora of other players who all netted three times.
He scored massive goals in the quarter final and semi-final of the competition to put his nation ahead against both Germany and France.
In the spring United were linked to a move for the 26 year old and he was said to be keen on a move to England and the Premier League.
It was later reported this month that the Red Devils were firmly in the race to capture the Euro 2024 star and just yesterday it was relayed here that the Red Devils’ were keen to accelerate their interest in the attacking midfield man.
Olmo would certainly be an exciting and quality signing for Ten Hag’s team and could cover a number of positions, including the number 10 and both wings. His obvious quality on the ball and eye for a goal would add a great deal to the middle of the park.
The lack of suitors at what seems like a good price could even give United encouragement to make an approach below €60 million, but it could depend on player sales taking place first.
