When Natalie Srinivasan retired from professional golf at the end of the 2022 Epson Tour season, she did it abruptly. Formerly the top female collegian, Srinivasan hasn’t played a round since leaving the tour.
As a first-year medical student at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, Srinivasan now lacks the time to dedicate to her game. Having spent a long time at the pinnacle of the sport, she finds it challenging to experience golf in any other way.
Srinivasan’s 2½-year professional career primarily unfolded on the Epson Tour. She made 14 cuts in 18 events during the 2022 season and achieved top-10 finishes three times. By July, she had already decided that she would retire in the fall. After playing the Epson Tour Championship in October and finishing T-56, she hasn’t played a round of golf since.
On the rare occasions post-retirement when she has hit golf balls, usually with her brother, Srinivasan has found the experience to be frustrating.
