Being in the NFL is not for everyone.
On top of the unmatched work ethic and hard work they have to put in, the players also have to have some remarkable physical traits.
Also, with the level of preparation, all the sports nutrition, workouts, and whatnot, those guys are significantly bigger at first glance than the average human being, even for athletes.
That’s why Maxx Crosby thought he’d never make it to the league.
In the latest edition of his podcast, the Las Vegas Raiders talked about the first time he saw an NFL player up close.

It was Julius Peppers, who was going to play with the Chicago Bears against the Dallas Cowboys.
Per Crosby, as soon as he saw him, he claimed that he was never going to make it to the National Football League.
Fortunately for him and the Raiders, he was wrong.
Crosby was never the most highly-recruited or most sought-after player, but it didn’t take long before he proved to be one of the best pass rushers in the game and of his generation.
Now, he’s not only a mainstay in the Raiders’ defensive line, but one of the most dominant and disruptive defensive forces in the game as a whole.
More than that, chances are that most young players watching him now might feel the same way he felt when he saw Julius Peppers as a high school kid, which is why they shouldn’t give up on their dreams and just continue to keep pushing and working hard.
