Few NFL linemen are more infamous for being tough than Richie Incognito.

For 14 seasons he enraged defenders with his aggressiveness and willingness to go the “extra mile” to make a block and carry out an offensive play.

Incognito wore the uniforms of Buffalo, St. Louis, Miami and the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders during his playing days and carried a well-earned reputation wherever he went.

The four-time Pro Bowl guard recently joined a podcast to discuss some of the finer points of his career, and they included at least one notable skirmish.

Crosby recalled a particular moment when he was a rookie and discovered how much of a “savage” Incognito was.

The first day of practice between the two teams was “straight warfare,” and everyone was “brawling.”

The fight that set off the tensions, according to Crosby, was between Incognito and future Hall of Fame defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

Whatever sparked the dustup with the three-time Defensive Player of the Year, Crosby described the offensive lineman as “heavily involved” in the brawl.

For Incognito’s part, he recently revealed that he has an interest in getting into NFL coaching, and he specifically mentioned his former team, the Raiders.

Whether that ambition is realized is anyone’s guess, but it is easy to imagine Incognito fitting into the Las Vegas culture of toughness and playing just outside the lines.
