If there’s one certainty about the AFC East, it’s that the road to the division title runs through the Buffalo Bills.

After the New England Patriots’ seemingly eternal stranglehold on the top spot evaporated, the Bills took the last four trophies.

Being on top means you are fodder for those chasing you, and the most notable contenders to dethrone Buffalo are the Miami Dolphins – with all due respect to Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.

Veteran tight end Jonnu Smith is a new face in Miami, but he had choice words about the rivalry and his personal feelings about the division’s top team.

Smith told The Dive Bar Podcast his true feelings concerning the Bills, and they are likely to be bulletin board material before their two 2024 matchups.

He argued that Buffalo is the “worst” place to play in the NFL and even took a shot at the wings, claiming the city’s delicacy isn’t good.

The Dolphins are loaded, that is unquestioned, but they have a giant hurdle in front of them to reach the top of the division.

The Bills won both meetings between the contenders last season, including a 48-20 home blowout in October and a 21-14 road decision in the season finale.

This season’s much-anticipated meetings include a Thursday night affair in Week 2 at Miami and an early November rematch in upstate New York.

A lot is said in the offseason, and many bold predictions are made concerning one’s opponents.

But titles are won on the football field, and until someone knocks them off, the AFC East still belongs to Buffalo.
