The Miami Dolphins and their fans are getting some good news this week.

Pro Bowl quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is expected to be back starting on Sunday when the team takes on the Arizona Cardinals.

In a corresponding move, Miami placed fellow quarterback Tyler “Snoop” Huntley on Injured Reserve with a shoulder injury (via NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport).

Huntley went 1-2 as the team’s starter completing just over 59% of his passes and recording two total touchdowns, along with an interception.

The former Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns quarterback was signed off of Baltimore’s practice squad earlier this season after Tagovailoa went down with yet another concussion.

Now, Tagovailoa is back and ready to help put Miami back in the playoff conversation.

The Dolphins are sitting at a record of 2-4 and need to start stacking some wins.

This game against the Cardinals this week is key because it is one of four games out of the next five against teams with a current record that is below .500.

If head coach Mike McDaniel and Co. can get on a roll, they could hit their stride just as the season starts to approach the playoffs.

Of course, it will be interesting to see how Tagovailoa performs in his first game back.

The 26-year-old has led the league in both passer rating and passing yards before, and he will try to recapture some of that magic once again.

It could be gut-check time for Miami if they fail to come out on top this Sunday.
