Few teams in professional sports get as much attention and have to deal with as much pressure from year to year to be successful as the Dallas Cowboys, who are arguably the most popular franchise in the NFL.
With an avid fan base and a team owner who tries to go above and beyond for his franchise, the Cowboys always seem to be a competitive team, with money usually being no object, especially with Dallas being a revenue machine.
However, the constant pressure can take it’s toll on star players who represent the storied franchise on the field, which at times can be too much to handle and derails careers or makes those players want to go elsewhere.
Superstar linebacker Micah Parsons, however, is not one of those players who struggles with the pressure and constant criticism in Dallas, as he views the scrutiny as a privilege via Pro Football Talk.
“The criticism is a privilege because sometimes a great standard is not good enough for those who are greater,” Parsons said at a youth football camp on Friday, via Sophia Vesely of the Dallas Morning News.
Heading into the 2024 NFL season, the Cowboys will be under tremendous pressure to be successful once again, as they have one of the most talented rosters on both sides of the football.
After flaming out in epic fashion in the NFL playoffs last year, the Cowboys will aim to bounce back with a vengeance, as the team wants to capitalize on the talented roster in this potential championship window in Dallas.
