Micah Parsons Criticizes the Bears’ Quarterback Decision

Micah Parsons Responds To Teammate That Called Him Out

The 2-2 Dallas Cowboys have a Sunday Night Football matchup with the AFC North-leading Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5, and the struggling defense will have its hands full with quarterback Justin Fields.

The Cowboys’ defense will be going into this matchup without two of its biggest stars on defense in Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, who both got injured in the team’s Week 4 matchup against the New York Giants.

Now that he is injured, Parsons has more time to podcast, and he recently said on his show about Fields, “I thought the Bears should have kept him” before praising what head coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers are doing with their new QB.

Parsons said he isn’t surprised Fields will be keeping the starting quarterback job for now even as Russell Wilson is getting healthy and said the Bears probably stripped him of his confidence, which he believes the Steelers have restored.

The Bears moved on from Fields this offseason after landing the No. 1 pick in the draft and drafting Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams to be his successor.

Fields has looked comfortable with Pittsburgh and has led the team to a 3-1 start due to his 70.6 percent completion percentage and six total touchdowns with just one turnover.

Dallas is giving up 26 points per game so far and will be heading into this matchup without arguably its two best defenders, so there will be added pressure on an offense that hasn’t topped 25 points since Week 1.

Thankfully, the Cowboys don’t face the Bears this season, so Caleb will have to file this one away as fuel for the future whenever these two teams cross paths down the road.
