The 2024 NFL season has been rocky for the Dallas Cowboys, to say the least, with Amercia’s Team seemingly having no identity six games in, which is especially concerning after the results of the 2023 campaign and an offseason that was highly criticized for the lack moves to improve the team.

Along with the team struggling this season, star linebacker Micah Parsons has been dealing with an injury, which has kept him out two of the six games the Cowboys have played so far.

With Parsons being crucial to the team’s success on the defensive side of the football, Dallas desperately needs to get him back on the field, especially after a devastating loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 7, where the Cowboys gave up 47 points to Jared Goff and company.

The loss to the Lions was costly, as it showed how far behind the Cowboys are in the NFC and title contention this season.

Heading into Week 8, the Cowboys will face another tough challenge against another NFC heavyweight, meaning Parsons’ availability will be a big talking point leading up to this matchup, where they’ll face the San Francisco 49ers on the road at Levi’s Stadium in the Bay Area.

Although Parsons’ status for the upcoming game against the 49ers is “up in the air,” according to the Cowboys star, he seems to be in good spirits as he’s working his way back to getting on the field via Pat Doney of NBC DFW.

Currently, the Cowboys have a 3-3 record and have a chance to turn things around, as the season isn’t lost just yet, but a loss to the 49ers after dropping the game against the Lions could be the beginning of a downward spiral for Dallas.

The 49ers are also a team that desperately wants to get back on the right track after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in a Super Bowl rematch this past Sunday.
