Buccaneers Announce Mike Evans' Status For Monday's Game

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the better teams entering Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season with a 4-2 record and in line to win the NFC South if they continue on their pace.

Tampa Bay’s success can be tied directly to the offense, specifically quarterback Baker Mayfield, who is playing like an MVP candidate.

In his second year in the Buccaneers offense, Mayfield has even better chemistry with his two star receivers.

Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are arguably the best receiver duo in the NFL, with Evans a touchdown threat in the red zone while Godwin has been the primary read for Mayfield on third down.

However, Evans has been dealing with a hamstring injury that limited him in the Week 6 win against the New Orleans Saints.

The veteran recently missed two practices with the injury and was listed as questionable for the Week 7 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

However, it appears that Evans will be on the field for the prime-time matchup.

“Buccaneers WR Mike Evans is off the injury report for Monday night’s game vs. the Ravens and good to go,” ESPN insider Adam Schefter wrote on X.

This is a huge boost for Tampa Bay as Baltimore has been a pass-funnel defense through six weeks.

With Evans available, the Buccaneers should be able to move the ball as they have been, though their defense will be the key to knocking off the Ravens.
