The Washington Commanders certainly made an interesting call in the pre-draft process to host multiple quarterback prospects on one pre-draft visit.

The move reportedly ruffled some feathers, including those of Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels.

Former NFL veteran Mike Golic had this to say about Washington’s decision to host multiple players on one visit:

“To me it would almost feel like a Bachelor or Bachelorette episode…I think it would be unbelievably hectic to try and see if you’re accomplishing anything doing this,” Golic said on his show recently.

This kind of meeting before the NFL Draft isn’t a common type.

A team cannot select multiple players at once.

They get one pick at one specific time.

Why would Washington feel the need to bring in all of these guys who aren’t going to play there together?

Other than maybe seeing how they are in a public setting with one another, it is hard to imagine a normal reason why they were all in the same room together.

But, it is the NFL Draft.

Each team has their own way of doing things.

Also, with the way Washington was run the last handful of years under former owner Dan Snyder, perhaps management wanted to try something different.

This was an odd decision by the Commanders but if it yields positive results in the form of a great quarterback, no one will end up caring about this move in the end.
