Justin Fields’ tenure with the Chicago Bears has been far from successful.
He’s got the lowest winning percentage among quarterbacks in his class, and it hasn’t exactly been his fault.
Now, with the Bears getting the No. 1 pick again, he’s expected to be shipped away as they pursue Caleb Williams out of USC.
Even he knows that he’s going to be on his way out, as he recently unfollowed the franchise on social media.
That’s why ESPN analyst Mike Greenberg believes that the team should just pull the plug and trade him already.
Talking on Get Up, Greenberg made a case for the Bears moving on from Fields now so he can start proving them wrong right away.
“Justin is well aware he is OUT of Chicago. … The best thing the Bears can do for him is to get him out of there as quickly as possible so he can begin the process of proving them wrong wherever he goes next,” Greenberg said.

Truth be told, this is a prime example of a team failing it’s players.
While Fields has struggled with injuries, he has been very good when actually put in a position to succeed.
He was on a short leash early in his career and was barely allowed to pass, but he posted very solid numbers when allowed to play freely out there.
Then, he was forced to be a pocket passer, which is something he’s never been.
Hopefully, his next team will build it’s offense and game plan around the things he is, not the things he’s not.
He’s still young and could have a bright future in this league, and he has the potential to be one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the game.
The Bears, on the other hand, will get another chance to land a franchise cornerstone, and the fans will hope they get things right this time.
