Monty Williams reacts to Bojan Bogdanovic’s season debut

Detroit Pistons head coach Monty Williams was excited to finally have Bojan Bogdanovic in the lineup during Saturday’s 110-101 home loss vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers (22 points/2 rebounds/2 assists/1 steal/7-15 FG/3-10 3-PT/5-6 FT/27 minutes off the bench).

*Returned from a right calf injury suffered just before training camp*

Reporter: “Pretty big night from Bogey in his first game back. Did you find it tough to kind of abide by the minutes restriction?”

Williams: “I thought I probably extended him a bit too much, but we’ve got a few days off, so we felt like he could recover. But I just thought the spacing… I ran some stuff down the stretch for him, I think he was a bit gassed at that moment. But I just love having him on the floor, his energy, his feel for the game, his ability to draw fouls, talking on the floor… that’s something that we certainly need.”
