Morocco Manager Updates on Noussair Mazraoui’s Health, Suggests Potential Return Date – Manchester United Latest News and Transfer Updates

Morocco boss provides encouraging health update on Noussair Mazraoui, hints at possible return date - Man United News And Transfer News

Morocco national team boss Walid Regragui has issued a hugely positive health update on Manchester United star Noussair Mazraoui.

It recently emerged that Mazraoui is set for a spell on the sidelines after he underwent a heart procedure.

The United summer signing was substituted at half-time of his side’s goalless draw against Aston Villa last Sunday and was replaced by Victor Lindelof.

Mazraoui subsequently pulled out of the Morocco squad ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers vs. Central African Republic.

It’s understood that Mazraoui’s condition is relatively common and the procedure was a minor one. The expectation is that he will make a full recovery.

Regragui spoke to reporters and revealed that he hopes the United defender will be available to him for selection during next month’s international break.

The Atlas Lions manager said (via The Mirror), “Noussair Mazraoui is not suffering from a dangerous illness, Inshallah (God willing), he will be with us in the next camp in November.”

Morocco are scheduled to come up against Gabon and Lesotho on November 10 and 18 respectively.

Mazraoui has made 10 appearances for United since his summer move from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

During his absence, Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff will have to be creative, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia also dealing with their own fitness problems.

Shaw hasn’t played for United since February while Malacia missed the entirety of the 2023/24 campaign. At the moment, Diogo Dalot is the only senior natural full-back who is fit and available.

An option for United is deploying Lindelof at right-back in the meantime while hoping that either Shaw or Malacia make a swift return to action after the ongoing international break.
