Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner discussed Bennedict Mathurin’s growth as a player following Monday’s 131-123 road win vs. the Detroit Pistons (30 points/7 rebounds/8 assists/2 steals/10-17 FG/3-5 3-PT/7-8 FT/+8 +/-).
(via Indiana Pacers):
“I think everybody’s going to talk about Benn’s scoring, but he made some great passes tonight, some good reads. I think it was a nice balance of things. He knew when to be aggressive, he knew when to come off it. He’s definitely maturing, you can see it throughout the season. He’s learning when to pick and choose his spots, I think that’s the hardest part for him. He’s a highly touted guy coming out of the draft last year and has all the upside in the world, but fitting into the team aspect of things… that could be hard on him; but I think that he’s starting to figure it out and he’s doing a much better job.”
