NBA Fans Criticize Kevin Durant Following Disappointing Game 2 Defeat

Durant

Things aren’t going well for the Suns in the first round, after the franchise dropped it’s second straight game to the Timberwolves and NBA fans are roasting Kevin Durant for it.

Durant is part of a supposed Big Three comprising of himself, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

In the Suns’ 105-93 loss to the Wolves on Tuesday, those three players shot 18-42 from the field, 1-9 from three and were -56 combined. Yikes.

“My frustration is just within the team,” Booker said after the game. We need to execute. We play well when we’re playing and then we need to stick together once things turn bad. We’ve done that throughout the season. Something that has to be corrected.”

Booker finished the night with a team-high of 20 points, committed six turnovers and fouled out.

“It’s obviously something I need to be better with,” Booker said.

But of course, the narrative that Durant can’t win without a superteam is rearing it’s head.

As well, the NBA community made fun of Anthony Edwards for saying before the series, “They got KD, but we got Jaden McDaniels.”

In Game 2, McDaniels had 25 points, eight rebounds and three assists, while Durant finished the night with 18 points, six rebounds and two assists.

But Booker and Durant don’t want Phoenix fans to give us hope just yet, especially considering that every other road team is having a tough time as well.

“Don’t count us out,” Book said. “It’s a series for a reason. I don’t think any road team’s won so far. I know that doesn’t have anything to do with us, but it’s just the situation that it is.”

Kevin Durant shared similar thoughts, “Can’t give up on us right now. Sh*t, need it more than anything. I know it’s been a disappointing last couple games, even the season for our fans, but we need you more than ever now coming back home for Game 3.”
