NBA Fans Criticize No. 2 Pick Alex Sarr for Disappointing Performance in Summer League

Sarr

The number two overall pick Alex Sarr is making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

In his latest Summer League game, Sarr was held to just two points, and shot 16 percent from the field in 27 minutes of action.

But he did get 11 rebounds in the Wizards’ 73-69 win over the Kings.

In Washington’s previous Summer League game, Sarr couldn’t manage to score a single point, after going 0-15 from the field and missing all seven shots from three-point range.

Across four games, the 19-year-old is averaging 4.1 points on just 19.1 percent shooting from the field.

Probably the most shocking of all is that Sarr has gone 1-21 from the field and 0-7 from three. He’s also committed ten fouls.

You think it may be rough to be criticising rookie this much who’s just finding their feet.

But with the amount of flack Bronny James has been copping as the number 55 pick, it seems to open slander.

At least NBA Twitter thinks so.

It will be interesting to see how Sarr fares alongside the Wizards’ best players – Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma.
