NBA Fans Respond to Derrick White Altercation Video During CU-CSU Game

White

Boston Celtics guard Derrick White was involved in a confrontation with fans on Saturday at a college football rivalry game between Colorado and Colorado State, and NBA fans are reacting to the incident.

TMZ Sports released a video of the altercation on Monday. The footage shows a fan swinging his arm at White and knocking the hat off his head.

Multiple fans then engaged in a fight, but from the video, it appears that White tried to avoid getting involved.

Law enforcement at Colorado State’s Canvas Stadium managed to prevent the situation from escalating further, and White walked away unharmed, as reported by TMZ.

Mild-mannered White is the last NBA player people would expect to be involved in a physical altercation, leading to some humorous reactions to the video.

TMZ reports that they have contacted White’s representatives for more information on the incident but have not received a response yet. Additionally, law enforcement confirmed that no police report was filed regarding the altercation.

The Celtics guard played for CU from 2015 to 2017, earning several accolades such as being named to the Pac-12’s 2017 All-Conference First Team, All-Defensive Team, and All-Tournament Team. He also made the USBWA All-District VIII First Team and NABC All-District 20 Second Team.

Throughout the Pac-12, White ranked highly in various statistical categories, showcasing his all-around skills on the court.
