Legendary basketball icon Jerry West has passed away at the age of 86.

West, known for his time playing for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1960 to 1974, was a dominant force on the court with a remarkable 10-time All-NBA First Team selection and two-time All-NBA Second Team pick to his name. His impact on the game was recognized by being selected to the NBA’s 35th, 50th, and 75th anniversary teams.

Transitioning to the front office, West enjoyed immense success as an executive, winning eight championships. Six of these titles came during his tenure as the lead decision-maker for the Lakers, with an additional two championships added while serving as a consultant with the Golden State Warriors.

In his later years, West remained involved in the game as a consultant for the Los Angeles Clippers, leaving a lasting legacy in the basketball world.
