The Brooklyn Nets have terminated the contract of head coach Jacque Vaughn. Vaughn assumed the role when Steve Nash was dismissed seven games into the 2022-23 season.
Over his two partial seasons with the Nets, Vaughn achieved a 64-65 record and went 0-4 in the playoffs, facing a first-round sweep by the Boston Celtics in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.
The decisive factor in Vaughn’s departure appears to be a significant 50-point loss to Boston in the last game before the All-Star break.
