Job Purpose: Responsible for supporting the day-to-day needs of agents, clients, and other baseball team members to accomplish client-related projects, including statistical analysis, market analysis, contract projection, player education, salary arbitration, marketing, and social media. This position also involves supporting client relationships, internal-team relationships, and account operations. Remote position with preference for Los Angeles, New York, or Tampa based applicants.
Duties:
- Prepare statistical analyses and create visual elements.
- Design statistical models and tools for non-technical audience.
- Gather data, maintain databases, and data systems.
- Develop and maintain internal reporting systems.
- Improve automated reporting with new analysis.
- Resolve data quality issues.
- Evaluate players at all levels of baseball.
- Perform administrative tasks.
- Handle personal matters with discretion.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative field.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of databases, SQL, Python, and R.
- Comfortable with data visualization tools.
- Experience with web development technologies preferred.
- Analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
- Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to interact with people of all demographics.
