The New Orleans Saints season started strong with two straight wins, but they’ve since lost three straight.
This offense was on a roll against the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys, scoring over 40 points in both games.
Unfortunately for the Saints, this kind of offensive output is largely unsustainable, and they’ve certainly come down from those heights.
They only scored 12 points against the Philadelphia Eagles and 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
With their drop-off in mind, the Saints might be looking to make some roster changes, hoping to get back on another winning streak.
As Aaron Wilson reported on X, the Saints recently worked out several players, including Alex Cook, Roderick Teamer Jr., A.J. Thomas, and Tracy Walker III.

It’s never a bad idea to at least host players for workouts, as you never know who can be a contributor down the stretch.
The Saints will not likely sign a starter from these workouts, but they could certainly find a depth piece or two.
Having depth is one of the most important things for an NFL team, as injuries are almost guaranteed every season.
Some teams experience more injuries than others, but at some point, at least one player from your team is bound to get hurt.
When that happens, you need to have a next-man-up mentality, which is what the Saints may be trying to lock up with these latest workouts.
With any luck, they’ll find a diamond in the rough who can help them in the back half of the season.
