The New York Jets had a very successful draft last week.

They mostly added help on offense by selecting talented offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu out of Penn State in the first round, Western Kentucky’s Malachi Corley in the third round, Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen in the fourth round, and a few more developmental pieces.

In order to make some of those moves, GM Joe Douglas decided to trade back multiple times throughout the draft.

This sparked front office personnel to start calling Douglas “Trader Joe,” per Paul Andrew Esden Jr. on Twitter.

This is a really good sign of the camaraderie and environment that the organization has going for them.

Despite being a losing organization for most of its history, the Jets feel they may be on the brink of a very special season in 2024.

With four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers seemingly healthy, he also has some new offensive pieces at his disposal.

With a revamped offensive line that includes future Hall-of-Fame tackle Tyron Smith and steady veteran Morgan Moses, Rodgers will be able to safely throw to the likes of Garrett Wilson, free-agent signee and big-play threat Mike Williams, and “YAC King” Malachi Corley.

Having Breece Hall and Braelon Allen in the backfield doesn’t hurt too much either.

After a fantastic draft by all accounts, the Jets will look to go win the Super Bowl this season.

If they can accomplish the unthinkable, Douglas and co. will be remembered forever.
