The New York Jets have another star.

Davante Adams is officially heading to the Big Apple, and it seems he couldn’t be happier about that.

Shortly after the news broke that he was traded to the Jets, Adams posted an IG story of his daughter laughing and looking happy, most likely stating that he felt the same way (Via Dov Kleiman).

Following months of speculation, Adams finally requested to be traded.

He missed the past couple of games with an injured hamstring, although some speculated that his injury designation had more to do with his desire to leave.

Insiders recently stated that there was a chance that Adams would stay in Las Vegas, and while he preferred to be traded, he wasn’t closed to the idea of suiting up for Antonio Pierce’s team again in the future.

The Jets and New Orleans Saints were always the odds-on favorites to acquire the former All-Pro wide receiver, as he wanted to be reunited with Aaron Rodgers or Derek Carr.

Of course, the Jets’ offensive struggles weren’t due to a lack of talent in their pass-catchers corps, but after falling to 2-4 to start the season, they seemed willing to go the extra mile to get back on track.

Rodgers and Adams were one of the deadliest QB-WR duos in the league during their days with the Green Bay Packers.

This could take a toll on Garrett Wilson’s and Allen Lazard’s numbers, but it will still be for the greater good of a team that clearly feels like they should’ve been one of the best teams in the league by now.
