The Miami Dolphins are about to get back to work on the football field, with superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill and company set to host the division-rival Buffalo Bills in a Week 2 showdown between two teams with Super Bowl aspirations in the AFC.
In Week 1, the Dolphins struggled against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with Miami’s usually potent offense finding it challenging to score consistently, and it looked like it would be handed a loss to open the 2024 NFL season.
Fortunately for Miami, Hill’s 80-yard touchdown turned the tide for the Dolphins as they were able to get back on track and ultimately take down Trevor Lawrence’s squad to start off with a win against a formidable opponent.
In Week 2, the Dolphins will have a tough challenge against the Bills, who put on a show offensively against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, with superstar quarterback Josh Allen producing four touchdowns and leading his team to victory.
This AFC East battle on “Thursday Night Football” will be a measuring stick for both teams, but Nick Wright of FOX Sports said the Dolphins aren’t up to the task because quarterback Tua Tagovailoa can’t be counted on in big games like this one.
“I cannot pick Tua in this spot… In the biggest spots in his career, he has failed to come through in each and every one of them.”

Last season, one of the biggest flaws for the Dolphins was that they struggled against tough opponents like the Bills and benefited from an otherwise easy schedule.
Those struggles became apparent when they didn’t stand a chance against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the playoffs.
It’ll be interesting to see if anything has changed this early in the new season, with Buffalo out to make a statement and Miami needing to prove its worth as a potential title contender.
